Kids Feeling our Stress

 Remember that your kids quickly pick up on your stress, so be honest with them. Explain what you feel and reassure them. They are little sponges who feel your energy shifts and may take on the emotions. 

When you explain how you are, then they relax and know you are going to be fine. 

Try not to tell them you are fine, instead say that you are feeling stressed but it will pass. The truth is needed because they need to trust their instincts to become fully functioning people.

Then when they feel stressed it is okay to tell you and be open.  

The truth told in a caring way is best.
